GERMAN POLITICAL CRISIS.
VOTE FOR NEW CRUISER.
POSSIBLE CABINET SPLIT.
PRESIDENT'S DRASTIC MOVE. Austrnlian and N.Z. Press Association. (Received November 15. 7.'25 p.m.) BERLIN. Nov. 15. The President, Marshal von Hindenburg, intervened in a sensational manner on the eve of today's debate in the Reichstag on a Socialist motion against tho proposed building of a 10,000-ton cruiser. Tho President, in an interview with the Chancellor, Hcrr Mueller, declared with great emphasis in favour of the cruiser, and virtually oi'dered the Socialist Ministers not to take part, in the voting. At a meeting ot tho Socialist Party last evening, however, it was decided that tho whole party must vote in favour of the motion. Tbo decision is binding on the Chancellor and tho three other Socialist Ministers, those of tho Interior, Finance and Labour.
A situation has thus been created which may result in the fall of tho Government, but it is belioved this will be averted.
