WELLINGTON. Wednesday. Commander Richard Ryrd lias decided that the steamer Eleanor Rolling shall call at Dunedin first. She is expected to arrive there on Saturday, and will come to Wellington later to take on board the equipment brought by the C. A. Larsen.
As usual with these expeditions, many gifts, including a ton of chocolate, are being offered. A fair quantity of stores will bo purchased in New Zealand, such as eggs, candles, matches, clothing and boots.

tion will lie tho uso of bottles filled with aniline dye Dropped on the snow, they will break and leave a large red patch as a guide to aeroplanes. Smoke bombs arc also to bo employed for this purpose.
