WEDDINGS.
The wedding was solemnised on Tuesday evening at the Pitt Street Methodist Church of" Miss Ethel Lawrio to Mr. Farley John Hunt, the Rev. Rowe performing the ceremony. The bride, who entered tho church on the arm of Mr. L. J. Keys, wore a gown of ivory georgette with a bouffant skirt of tulle frills, and carried a bouquet, of sweet peas anaroses. Miss Lydia Ellis attended as bridesmaid and wore a shell pink georgette frock with tulle frilled overskirt and carried a bouquet of pink sweet peas. Mr. Hoyte was best man. Miss CraigCowan on behalf of the bride, received the guests at the Y.W.C.A. Hostel. She wore a navy satin gown with a navy hat and carried a posy of red roses.
•\ choral wedding was solemnised at the Devonport Holy Trinity Church last oveninc when Miss Phyllis Moody, oldest daughter of Mi. iitid Mrs. 0. 11. Mood^, of St Aubyns Road, Devonport, was married to Mr. H. W. Stott, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. R. Stott, of Onewa Street, Birkenhead. Canon' Haselden officiated, and Mr. Alex. Kemp played the organ. Tho brido wore a graceful gown of ivory duchess satin, and this was made in -Victorian fashion, finished with'pearl trimming and flat satin roses. The beautiful silk Brussels veil was caught to the head with orange blossoms, and fell to form atrain which was lined with powder blue satin and ivory georgette. She carried a bofinuot of white flowers. lhe two bridesmaids were Miss Veronica Moody and Miss Ethel Stott. They wore damtv frocks of salmon pink satin with tiered silk tulle skirts. Their hats were also of tulle relieved with blue forget-me-nots and silver leaves. They carried bouquets of toning shaded flowers, ■ sir. a. Stott, was best man and Mr. R- Stott was groomsman.
The marriage of Miss Alfroda May Nield, second daughter of Mr and Mis. G. Nield, ot Empire Road, Ensum, to Mr. Eric Taylor, only son of Mr. and Airs. Tavlor, of Morningside, was celebrated at St. David's Church yesterday afternoon. The Rev. I). • performed the ceremony. The bide who entered the church on the arm of her brother-in-law Mr. H Horslev, wore a rock of ivory embossed 'chenille georgette mounted over shell pink satin. The frock was simply made with a draping at one side finishing below the hem with a uhitc silk tassel, and bows of small brilliants round the skirt. Her veil of _ Hon it on lace fell in long graceful folds forming a train, and was caught to the head with a circular coronet of lace and oiange blossom. She carried a shower bouquet of pink and white flowers. The bridesmaids, Miss. Viola Perkins and Miss Leonora Tavlor, wore frocks of briar rose georgette with small georgette roses vandyked above the hem, and long draped sleeves opening from the shoulder and caught in at the elbow and wrist by a small rose. Their pink crinoline • hats were trimmed under the brim with small flrtwars and swathed with narrow black velvet, which fell over one shoulder. They carried shower bouquets of pink sweet peas. Littlo Merle Perkins and Lorraine Horslev were flower girls and wore frocks'of phlox pink georgette with rosebud head-band's. Thev carried small posies of pink sweet pens. Mr. FrankKnight attended the. bridegroom as best man and Mr. William Purdy was groomsman.
