SHOALS OF JELLYFISH.
REMARKABLE SPECTACLE.
[FKOM Ol'lt SPECIAL COMIKSI'ONDENT.J SUVA, Nov. 1.
For two or three days this week a unique sight has been witnessed in Suva Harbour. Large areas all along the waterfront have been alive with shoals of small jelly fish about the size of a large finger nail. So thick were th<>y that the water generally was turned brown with them, while in places they could be scooped out in handfuls. Wherever one looked they all appeared to bo swimming vigorously. Fijians who have scon the spectacle arc amazed and rogard it as a sort of onion. They have seen small jellyfish comparatively thick, but never a sight such as this. They consider the ordinary jellyfish, eaten with lemon juice, as quite a delicacy. People who have, been in the. colony for 35 and 40 years pearl fishing and sea fishing state that they have never seen anything so' extraordinary.
