WESTFIELD DEVIATION.
STATION NEAR TUNNEL.
CITY TO SUPPORT REQUEST.
The placing of a station near Purcwa at the Glendowie end of the tunnel on the Westfleld railway deviation is desjred by the Tamaki Ratepayers' Association, which recently asked the City Council's assistance in furthering the request with the Railways Department, The Works Committee recently visited the locality, and recommended the council last evening to support a proposal for the establishment of a station as near the original site at Glen Inuis as possible, in order to provide adequate facilities for future residents near the tunnel.
The recommendation was adopted
