SIR ABE BAILEY'S OFFER. ACCEPTANCE BY PRINCE. WORK OF THE INSTITUTE. • Received October '26, 7..") p.m.) British Wireless. KUGBY, Oct. 25. The I'rinco of Wales, in accepting Sir Altf! Bailey's offer of LSOOO a year in perpetuity and free from legal restrictions, for the general purposes of the Royal Institute of International Affairs recalls that, tho institution is housed in a splendid building presented five years ago by Colonel and Mrs. Leonard, of Canada. The Prince expressed the opinion that, the valuable work of continuous and methodised study of the problems of the day will be greatly advanced as a result of Sir Abe's gift. Tho institute, which was founded in 1920, has created a library, which is becoming famous, and which issues from time to time an important series of publications on current intei national history.
The institute is non-political and is dobarred bv the aims of its founders and the terms of its charter from propaganda in any form. It exists as a centre for research and for tho exchange of that expert knowledge of foreign problems which is essential to the organisation of enduring peace.
