AUCKLAND TRANSPORT BOARD.

Sir, —It is a fact that the ratepayers of Auckland City and of the boroughs of Mount Eden, Mount Albert, Newmarket and Qnehunga, of the road districts of One Tree Hill, Mount Roskill and Mount Wellington, and of the town board of Ellerslie, arc to vote next Wednesday upon the question, "That the Auckland Transport Board Act, 1928, shall come into operation." Nobody has seen the Act —it is not procurable. Ratepayers of nine districts arc casting votes blindly, without knowledge of the issue. The position is Gilbertian! Ratepayers of any district desiring to have some idea of what they are voting upon may peruse my copy of the bill at my office. Altce Basten.
