OBITUARY.
MR. FREDERICK A. GILPIN. The cleat h of Mr. Frederick Albrighlon Gilpin, aged 62, of Birkdale, took placo in tlio Auckland Hospital on Tuesday, after aji illness extending over five weeks. Mr. Gilpin was until a few years ago a member of tlio Birkenhead Borough Council. lie was honorary wharfinger at Beach. Haven, and was a prominent worker on the executives of the Birkdale Fruitgrowers' Association and Upper Harbour Association. lip is survived by Mrs. Gilpin and one son, Mr. F. L. Gilpin, of Birkdale.
