RADIO MATERIAL STOLEN.
HAMILTON SHOPS ENTERED. LABOURER PLEADS GUILTY. [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN COIUIESPONDTSNT.] HAMILTON, \Vcdnesduy. Wireless material of a .total value of £123 was brought into the Hamilton Magistrate's Court to-day, as exhibits in a case in which Edward Kenneth Currio, aged 32, was before Mr. VVyvern Wilson, S.M., charged with breaking and entering the shops of Messrs. G. S Anchor and Son and W. M. Pitcher, radio dealers, Victoria Street, and with stealing radio parts on various occasions during the last three months. Accused was charged on four counts with respect to Anchor and Son's shop, and one with respect to MiPitcher's George Spencer Anchor said wireless material had been missing from bis shop for several months Accused had entered the shop during business hours, but had only bought a book on wireless valued a( 3d. \V. M. Pitcher deposed to having missed radio parts from his shop. In n statement made to the police accused said ho was an unemployed labourer. One night at the end of August he entered the shop and took away some valves and transformers for liis set lie then gave an account of a subsequent visit to the shop. It was stated by Detective White that in no case had tho till been touched. Accused pleaded guilty on all counts, and was committed to tho Supremo Court, Auckland, for sentenco.
