WASHED OFF SCHOONER. RESCUE IN MID-OCEAN. ROUGH TRIP FROM CREYMOUTH. (Received October 7, 5. IS p.m.) SYDNEY. Oct. 7. On the voyage of tho auxiliary schooner Piri, which arrived yesterday at Sydney from Grcymouth, two seamen, Laing and West, were, washed overboard by a huge wave. This occurred on the evening of September 25. There was; no chance of lowering a boat, but Captain Watt manoeuvred tho schooner so as to give tho men smooth water on IJIO lee side. They were hauled oil board again after 17 minutes' immersion. Tho entire voyago was marked by violent storms.
