EXPLOSION OF A RIFLE. MAN KILLED, ANOTHER WOUNDED BRISBANE. Oct. 6. An extraordinary tragedy is reported from tho Roma district. Charles Cracknell, armed with a rifle, jumped off a motor-truck to shoot an emu. Tho weapon exploded • and the bullet ploughed through the body of Georgo Cain, who was killed, and then passed through that of a drover Williams, who is in a critical condition. The bullet embedded itself in the truck, which was sot on fire and burned to ashes.
