AGRICULTURAL STUDENTS.
TOUR BY ENGLISH! VISITORS. INVESTIGATIONS AT HAMILTON. [by telegraph.—own correspondent.] HAMILTON. Friday. Four English agricultural students, who are accompanied by Mr. R. arrived in Hamilton to-day. The visitors were selected by the Overseas Settlement Department of the British Government, under a scheme promoted by Mr. L. S. Amery, Secretary of State for the Dominions. The students are paying their own expenses, and aio being afforded every facility by the Dominion Governments to inspect the agricultural districts of the countries visited, and to prosecute their inquiries into agricultural conditions. The® object is ultimately to take up land in one of tho Dominions. They have already toured South Africa and Australia, and have been a fortnight iu New Zealand, having visited Canterbury, Wellington and Taranaki Provinces. On their arrival from Rotorua .to-day the visitors were met by tho deputy-mayor, Dr. F, D. Pinfold, and representatives of the Hamilton Chamber of Commerce, Jhe Farmers' Union and the Agricultural Department. After being entertained to luncheon they were shown over the Frankton dairy factories and the Ruakura experimental farm. They will visit other parts of the Waikato to-morrow, and proceed to Auckland to-morrow night. Ih* visitors will leave on Tuesday for Canada.
