KILLED BY MOTOR-CAR.
FATALITY AT OTAHUHU.
FATE OF A NIGHTWATCHMAN. While walking home from work about one o'clock yesterday morning Mr. William Cue, aged 63, a nightwatnhman employed at the Auckland Farmers' Freezing Company's works at Southdown, was knocked down by a motor-car on the Great"' South Road, receiving fatal injuries. The -car, which was driven by Mr. Percy Lewis, of Tuakau,. was pro ceeding toward Otahuhu, and overtook Mr. Coe. Rain was falling at the tim® and visibility was poor. The injured man was taken to the home of Dr. E. 0. Rowley, but was found to be dead.. An inquest will be held this morning. Mr. Coe, who-is survived by his wife and an adult family y has been a watcb man for a number of years.
