AUCKLAND MEETINGS.

DATES FOR NEXT SEASON.

The Auckland Trotting Club lias decided upon the following dates for its meetings next season:—Spring, October 13 and 77, summer, December 27, 29 and 31; and winter, June 22 and 24 or June 22 and 26. The date for the second day of the winter meeting has not yet been definitely fixed, but it will probably be Juno 21, which is a Monday. A decision to hold the second day on the Monday will be welcomed by tho maiority of trotting men and it is pretty safo to say that the committeo will make this arrangement. TEAM FOR CHRISTCHURCH. The local trainer J. Shaw intends taking Western King, Native Princo and Jewel Pointer to Christchurch to race at the New Zealand Metropolitan Trotting Club's August Meeting. Native Prince was all at sea in the very heavy going at tho recent Auckland meeting and ' raced indifferently. Under better conditions he should bo a different proposition. Western King nnd Jewel Pointer ,«ppear to have benefited by their recent racing and should be fit horses next month.
