WHALE WASHED ASHORE.

MONSTER 72 FEET. LONG. DISCOVERY NEAR THAMES. [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT. ] THAMES, Monday. A monster bull whalo was found by two boys yesterday afternoon on the beach at Parawai, behind Rhodes Park. The news spread quickly and the first adult to view the monster claimed possession of it by carving his name on its hide. Measurements made this morning showed that the whala had a length of 72ft and a girth of 43ft. It is stated that the man who claimed the carcaso has entered into arrangements for its disposal and expects to reap a substantial reward.
