MOTORING ACCIDENTS.
CAR FALLS OVER BANK. DRIVER'S FORTUNATE ESCAPE. [BY TELEGRAM. —OWN CORRESPONDENT. ) ROTORUA, Monday. While driving his motor-car from Waitaupo yesterday afternoon. I\Jr. J. Newdick had reached the 18-mile peg "when the vehicle fell down the hank and turned over. The hood and windscreen were smashed, but Mr. Newdick escaped juryCYCLE AND CAR COLLIDE. MACHINE BADLY DAMAGED. Bruises and shock were sustained by Mr. Charles Blackburn, of Otahuhu, who was knocked down by a passing motorcar while cycling along the Great South Road early yesterday morning. Though ho proceeded to his work Mr. Blackburn had latpr to be taken home. Considerable damage was done to the bicycle. KNOCKED DOWN BY LORRY. MISHAP TO WORKMAN. While engaged in street work in Beach Road early yesterday afternoon, Mr. J. A. Ea-rley, of 45, Ivaraka Street, Newton, a City Council employee, was knocked down by a passing motor-lorry. He received a cut on his nose and abrasions sto his hands and arms. He was taken to the hospital for treatment and afterwards proceeded to his home.
