EXTENSION OF LIBRARY. PROPOSED SEWERAGE SCHEME. [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] WHANGAREI, Monday. Mrs. Frances Foote, the first lady member of the Whangarei Borough Council, was sworn in at a meeting of the council this evening. The inspector reported that the revenue from various licences issued in May was £773 5s Bd. The revenue from stock slaughtered at the abattoirs was £l4O 18s 2d. It was agreed that plans be made for an extension of the library, the cost not to exceed £ISOO. The consulting engineers forwarded plans and specifications of the proposed sewerage reticulation to cost £19,368. Mr. A. H. Curtis was appointed chairman of the Electrical Committee in place of Mr. A. D. Jack.
