OTAHUHU FIRE BRIGADE.
PRESENTATION OF AWARDS. The annual smoke concert of the Otahuhn volunteer fire brigade was held on Saturday evening. The Mayor of Otahuhu, Mr. R. B. Todd, presided, and there was a large number of guests, including Mr. Hugo, Government inspector of fire brigades, Mr. Watts, advisory superintendent and secretary, and Mr. Osborne, treasurer of the United Fire Brigades. Mr. Hugo spoko of the service done for the community by volunteer fire brigades throughout tho Dominion. Mr. Hugo presented the following decorations :—Honorary life membership, exCaptain J. Wilson and ex-Firemen W. Pee, J. Mclvor, D. Carson and W. B. Eustace; two years' bars, Messrs. Wilson, Mclvor, Carson and Bennett; five years' medal, Fireman J. W. Hughes; three years* certificate, Secretary K. Todd and Fireman J.. Maxwell.;
