BUSINESS MEN'S TRAIN.

NORTH ISLAND EXCURSION. As 54 applications have already been received for accommodation on the proposed excursion train which is to traverse the northern portion- of the North Island at the end of October and the beginning of November, the executive of the Auckland Chamber of Commerce has decided to go ahead with the project. No difficulty is expected in filling the remaining six vacancies on the train, as several members of the chamber have expressed a desire to join the excursion, but are unable to commit themselves so far ahead. The train is to bo provided with sleeping cars, and visits will be paid to the Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Rotorua and North Auckland. It is being run for business men *no Chamber of Corn, merce, in conjunction with the Railway Department and the Department of Industries and Commerce.
