AFFAIRS OF ASSOCIATION. [bit telegraph.—own correspondent.] OTOBOHANGA, Friday. The fifth annual meeting of the Otorohanga Agricultural and Pastoral Association took place on Wednesday evening, about 50 members being prossent. The president, Mr. W. B. McAdam presided. The balance-sheet showed that over £SO had been added to the reserve funds, which now stand at £194 14s Id. The membership had increased from 153 to 191 in the past year. The following officers were elected: — Patron. Mr. J. C. Eolleston, M.P.; president, Mr. W. B. McAdam; vice-presi-dents, Messrs. C. B. Hobson and G. D. Hall; executive, Messrs. J. Richmond, O. Dalziel, E. Cumpstone, J. A. Tarleton, R. H. Cowern, N. Smith, T. Verner, J. J. Walker and H. Maxwell, together with 20 district representatives; hon. surgeon, Dr. Gilberd; secretary, Mr. H. E. Lawrence. A proposal to lease an area of 18 acres at £lO a year for 10 years, as a show ground, was left to the executive. Mr. H. Welsh, of.the White Island Products Company, Limited, presented the association with a silver cup for competition. . •
