ASSAULT ON POLICE.
SHIP'S FIREMAN FINED £lO. [BY telegraph.—press association.] INVERCARGILL. Wednesday. , In'the Police Court' to-day John Leaf, a fireman on the Manuka, who was charged with drunkenness and assaulting the police, was fined £lO. Another fireman was fined £5. Both rejoined the steamer, which sailed this afternoon after having been held up in consequence of the arrests.
