The Kurow is to leave Bluff at midday - to-day for Dunedin, Lyttelton, Wellington, Napier, Gisborne and Auckland. The Kaponga was again barbound at Westport yesterday. It wa3 hoped she would be able to sail last evening for New Plymouth arid Auckland. The Kaiwarra. Captain F. L. G. Jauney, arrived yesterday ' afternoon from Westport, via Picton and Wellington. She berthed • t Queen's Wharf to unload general cargo before she discharges coal from Westport. The auxiliary schooner Toa was delayed by bad weather in the Bay of Plenty and did not return to Auckland until yesterday morning. In consequence her departure tor Whakatane has been postponed until eleven o'clock this morning. THE NEW STEAMER PUKEKO. An arrival at Napier from Falmouth on Monday was the Richardson Line's new steamer Pukeko, which has been built specially for the company's East Coast cargo trade. She will probably be put on the Auckland-East Coast Bay service and is expected to arrive at Auckland on Friday. She is a steel twin-screw steamer of 700 tons gross and was built on the Eumber by the Goole Sfcipbiulding and Re- ? airing Company. Her dimensions are:— length. 180 ft; breadth, 29ft; depth, lift. She has three, hatches and hefr carrying capacity is 850 tons deadweight. Her twin screws- are driven by two sets of triple expansion engines pieced amidships, and she is capable of a speed of 95 knots. Her tonnage is nearly 200 more and she is 26.5 ft longer than the company's steamer Mako. The Pukeko left Falmouth on March 8 and. after a boisterous voyage across the Atlantic, she reached Colon on April 2. 111 -the Pacific further boisterous weather was encountered and delayed her arrival *t Napier by nearly a week. • THE QUEEN ELEANOR. With cargo from Canada and America the Queen .Line steamer Queen Eleanor reached 'Auckland yesterday morning. She * berthed at Prince's Wharf to unload steel products from Louisberg, motor-cars and general cargo from St. John and casis oil and general cargo from New York. At midday on Saturday she is to resume her voyage to Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin. The vessel sailed from New York on April 8 and cleared Panama on April 16. Generally fair weather prevailed until last Sunday, when strong northerly winds and rough beam sea 3 were encountered. Captain H. FERNLANE ARRIVED. Without being reported by wireless, the Norwegian motorship Fernlane reached Auckland yesterday morning with 7500 tons of case oil and petroleum products from Port Arthur. Texas. She berthed at Western Wharf to unload 800 tons to the agency of .Burns. Philp and Company, Ltd. Her other discharging portß, are Wellington, Sydney, Launceston, Adelaide, Bunbury and Fremantle. She is expected to resume hor voyage this afternoon. The Fernlane is a new vessel, having been launched at Copenhagen. Denmark, last October. Her owners are Messrs. Fearnly nnd Eger, Oslo, Norway. She is fitted with a 3000 h.p.. Diesel engine of the Burnrneister and Warn type. Her 10 winches, jib well ns capstan windlass, are electricnlly-driven. On her Present voyage she averaged 11.50_ knots, hut she has a speed capacity of 13.75 linots. Her first vovage was, from the Baltic to America and she loaded in America for Rotterdam. From Holland she went in ballast to Port Arthur, to load her present cargo. Exceptionally fine weather prevailed during the voyage from Texas to Auckland. PASSENGERS FOR MELBOURNE. The vessel is to J9ave Auckland at four o'clock this afternoon lor Onehunga, via Hokianga. THE HORORATA. The New Zealand _ Shipping Company's steamer Hororuta sailed last evening for Napier. Lyttelton and Wellington to complete loading .for England. She is to soil from Wellington on May 31 for London, via Panama. CORNWALL AT LONDON. The New Zealand Shipping Company has received advice that the Federal Line steamer Cornwall, which sailed from Wellington on March 26, for London, Avonmouth, Glasgow and Liverpool, reached London on May 10. TAHITI FROM SAN FRANCISCO. The Royal Mail liner Tahiti is scheduled to leave San Francisco to-day with passengers, mail and cargo for New Zealand and Australia. She is due at Wellington 011 Juno 4 and at Sydney on June 9. TEKOA LEAVES LONDON. Cable advice received by the New Zealand Shipping Company stales the Tekoa was despatched from London last Friday with general merchandise for discharge at Suva, Auckland and Wellington. She is due at Auckland on June 20. , THE WAIPAHI. The Union Company's Island steamer Wuipahi, which left Auckland last Thursday for Rarotonga, Aitutaki and Mangaia, is due at Rarotonga to-morrow. The vessel is expected to return to Auckland with a cargo of Cook Island oranges about May 26. THE KAIRANGA. Kairanga, en route from Westport. left New Plymouth for Auckland at eight o'clock on Monday evening. She is due this evening or to-morrow morning. After unloading the remainder of her coal cargo she will go to Newcastle to load for Wellington. IRON MONARCH FROM NEWCASTLE. The Scott. Fell steamer Iron Monarch was scheduled to leave Newcastle yesterday with coal for Auckland. She is due next Tuesday,'. The vessel was formerly known as the Kooloonga. Her cargo 13 lor the Railway Department. MAMARI SAILS TO-DAT. With a full cargo of New Zealand produce. a large quantity of which was loaded at Auckland, the Shaw, Savill and Albion steamer Mamari is to sail at daybreak today for London, Liverpool, Glasgow and Avonmouth. THE TUTANEKAL 7"he Government steamer Tutanekai is to sail at six d'clock this morning for the Hauraki Gulf, where the buoys and beacons will be attended to. The vessel will return to Auckland on Saturday to ship stores, and she will leave for Northern and West Coast lighthouses early next week. MAKURA FOR SAN FRANCISCO. The Royal Mail liner Makura is scheduled t(? Sydney to-morrow for San Francisco. via Wellington. Rarotonga and Papeete The vessel ie due at Wellington on Monday morning, and she is to resume her voyage the following afternoon. SUSSEX DUE THIS MORNING. Duo at eight o'clock this morning the Union Company's steamer Sussex will berth at Queen's Wharf to unload Eastern produce from Calcutta. Rangoon, Penang, Singapore and Samarang. From Auckland she will go to Wellington, Lyttelton anc Dunediu to complete discharge. LAMB'S STEAMER OMANA. The Northern Company advises that the Lamb steamer Omana is due at New Plymouth from Newcastle to-morrow with coal and timber. The vessel will unload at New Plymouth and Wanganni. Afterwards she will come' to Auckland, probably via Hokianga, to load timber for Sydney. THE WILLASTON. The New Zealand Shipping Company has received advice that, the steamer Willaston, running- under the auspices of the A. and A. Line, sailed from New York on May 9 with case oil and general merchandise for discharge at Auckland. Wellington. Lyttelton. Dunedin, Wanganui and Port Lincoln. She is due at Auck, land on June 16. MAUNGANUI AND MARAMA, . The Union Company's intercolonial passenger steamers Maunganui and Marama reached Sydney yesterday morning from Auckland and Wellington respectively, the Maunganui at eight o'clock and the Mara'ma an hour later. On Friday the Marama will be despatched for Auckland and the Maunganui for Wellington. They are due back in New Zealand next Tuesday. KALINGA FROM NEWCASTLE. The Lamb steamer Kalinga is reports. - ! to have sailed from Newcastle on Monday f.ir Auckland. She is expected to arrive about Saturday. She is a new vessel of 2017 ions gross, and was built by the Clyde Shipbuilding and Engineering Company at Port Glasgow. This is her first voyage to New Zealand. She is 283 ft. in length, with a 43.1 ft. beam and 17.5 ft. depth. The Northern Company are the local agents. TASMANIA DELAYED. The local office of the New Zealand Shipping Company has received advice that the Tasmania has been delayed loading at New Plymouth owing to unsettled weather. The vessel is expected to sail for Opua and Auckland this evening for further loading. She is now due at Auckland next Monday. Her other loading ports are Napier, Lyttelton and Wellington. From Wellington she is to sail on June 2 for Avonmouth, Glasgow and Liverpool, via Montevideo and Las Palmas. PORT CURTIS FROM NEW YORK. An expected arrival at Auckland next Wednesday is the Commonwealth and Dominion Line steamer Port Curtis from New York. A steamer (name not announced), with cargo from Glasgow, is to be despatched from Liverpoijl 011 September 1 for Auckland. Wellington. Lyttelton and Dunedin. RICHARDSON STEAMERS. The Richardson steamer Awnhou is due early this morning from Portland. She will berth at Central Wharf. At three o'clock this afternoon the vessel is to be. despatched for Hicks Bay, Tokomaru Bay and Gisborne. The Putiki is due from the Const tonight and will be withdrawn for overhaul and survey.
