Although heavily armed guards are patrolling tho city of Middletown, Ohio, there is fear of mob violence as a result of the killing of two white policemen in a battle with negro bootleggers, one of whom was also killed. The policemen had detected the negroes tilling bottles with liquor in a gravel pit. The negroes opened fire and a battle ensued.
