CARPENTER'S TOOLS.

MANY THEFTS ALLEGED. MAN COMMITTED FOR TRIAL. Saws, braces and tyts, planes and many other articles found in carpenters' kits ware spread on the floor in the Police Court yesterday morning for identification purposes, when 10 charges of theft of tools, of a total value of £55, were preferred against William Henry Higgins, aged 49. Accused pleaded not guilty.

All the thefts were alleged to have been committed in Auckland. A number ol carpenters gave evidence identifying tools as being their own property. Accused was committed to the Supreme Court for trial.
