OIL MAGNATE TRIED.

ACQUITTAL BY A JURY. ALLEGED FRAUD CHARGES. Australian and N.Z. Press Association. WASHINGTON, April 21

A jury acquitted Mr. 11. F. Sinclair, the oil magnate, in the Criminal and Civil Court actions arising out of the Teapot Dome scandals. By its verdict it rejected the unanimous decisions of the United Stales Supreme Court and Circuit Court of Appeals that the Teapot Dome transactions had been fraudulent and corrupt. The jury was out less than two hours and at no time was there any danger of a verdict of guilty being returned. Only one or two jurors had some slight difficulty in making up their minds.
