STRIKING PICTORIAL PAGES

A wealth of "news by photography" and a remarkable variety of other very fine pictorial subjects will be found in the large illustrated section of the Auckland Weekly News, which is on sale to-day. There is a splendid series of snapshots secured among the apple growers of the Henderson district, who are anticipating a record export season, while Easter sports are well illustrated by excellent snapshots of the Auckland Racing Club s autumn meeting and the provincial golf tourney at Middlemore. ' A very attractive centre double-pa£c is devoted to splendid photographs illustrating the quinnat salmon fishing season, which is now in fujl swing on Canterbury rivers. The frontispiece, a beautiful whole-page plate, has for its subject a tvpical phase of pioneer in the magnificent bush of northern New Zealand. . , . , . , , Further South Island subjects include bright snapshots .recording a tour ot Southland and Stewart Island by a party of 800 Canterbury farmers.
