Auckland's representatives in the 1928 All Black Rugby team commenced their tour in unostentatious fashion last evening, when their friends and relatives, with a few officials from the Auckland Rugby Union, met at the station to wish the players good luck and goodbye as they boarded the Main Trunk express for Wellington. The players who left last evening were T. R. Sheen, S. Hadley, R. McWilliams and J. Finlayson, the lastmentioned being from North Auckland. Mark Nicholls, one of the Wellington representatives in the team, who has been holi-day-making in Auckland,' also travelled by the same train. F. y. Lucas went south on Sunday. The affection of Auckland followers of the Rugby code for their representatives and their best wishes for a happy and successful tour were briefly conveyed by Mr. H. Frost, chairman of the Management Committee of the Auckland Rugby Union. Mr. Frost also tendered the union's official goodbye and wishes for good luc.k, and at bis call three cheers were given by those present. The team assembles in Wellington today and to-morrow it will play an exhibition match, the proceeds of which will be given to the Olympic Games Fund.
