BAPTISED IN TANK.
ALBERT > HALL CEREMONY. "FOUR-SQUARE" GOSPEL SECT. (Received April 8, 5.35 p.m.) A. and N.Z. LONDON, April 7. Strange scenes occurred at tho Albert Hall when 1000 converts—men and women —were publicly baptised in a large tank by Pastor Jeffreys, tho founder' of the "Four-Square" Gospel Alliance of the British Isles. There were 10,000 spectators. Many "hallelujahs" wcro uttered as the women converts, attired in white robes and some wearing bathing caps and the men in shorts and white shirts, were completely immersed. Afterward they returned to specially heated dressing-rooms.
