DAWES PLAN REVIEWED. SUGGESTED MODIFICATIONS. (Received April 8, 11.45 p.m.) A. and N.Z. ROME, April 7. The Agent-General for Reparations, Mr. S. Parker Gilbert, and the Italian Minister of Finance, Count Volpi;. have exchanged views about possible modifications of the Dawes plan. The German Minister of Finance, Dr. Koehler, is al.so on the way to Rome to confer with Mr Gilbert. The Italian newspapers say Ita'y's point of view is still the same as was set forth by the Prime Minister, Signor Mussolini, in 1923. . They refuse to countenance any modification of Germany's payments.
