INFANT STRAYS FROM HOME. [BY TELEGRAM. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] WANGANUI, Sunday. .The infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Ihaka Bailey, of Putiki, was drowned in the shallow Wikitoria Creek yesterday. The child, who was one year and ten months old, strayed from his home into the creek and was apparently dead when found. Medical aid was sought and the Maori method of resuscitation by " smoking " was used without efftct.
