FIRE IN SCENIC RESERVE.

GOOD WORK BY BRIGADE. [BY telegraph.—own correspondent.] TAIHAPE, Sunday. A fire broke out in the scenic reserve near the recreation ground, and, fanned by a slight breeze, the flames spread rapidly, all the beautiful bush being endangered. The fire brigade subdued the flames before agy serious damage was done. The fire was restricted to an area of about half an acre.
