The Government meteorologist reported last evening as follows: —There is a weak anti-cyclone covering New Zealand and shallow depressions aro south of the Chatham Islands and in the southern Tasman Sea. Indications are for moderate to fresh northerly winds n«rth of New Plymouth and Napier backing to ; southerly, elsewhero variable tending to southerly and freshening. Seas rather rough south of Castlepoint, moderate elsewhere in New Zealand waters. Moderate to fresh northwest to south-west winds and moderate seaa in Tasman Sea.
