BRISBANE PEOPLE'S CHEQUE. FLIES TO SYDNEY TO-DAY. A. and N.Z. BRISBANE, March 9. The Australian airman, Mr. Bert Hinkler, continues to be enthusiastically received in Brisbane. A round of festivities has been arranged in his honour. He was to-day presented with a cheque for £IOOO at the office of the newspaper, the Brisbane Courier. This was the first instalment of a public subscription. Mr. Hinkler will leave by air for Sydney tomorrow.
