"When Mr. Bernard Shaw declined to 1 accept the money which accompanied the reward of the Nobel Prize for literature, the Anglo-Swedish Nobel Prize Committee assumed, the task of using the of Anglo-Swedish authors. The first two authors to be published in revised and improved translations will bo August Strindberg, the Swedish dramatist, and Mme. Selroa Lagerlof, the only wpman member of the Swedish Academy.
