BEAUTY FOR THE BUSY.
Smoking, however delightful, can't be called a beauty promoter. For instance, it tends to stain, tho teeth. They can be soon ■ whitened and kept dazzling if a teaspoonful of peroxide of vols.) is added now and then to the tooth water. Always keep peroxide in an amber bottle, as light deteriorates its value. If your hair gets tobacco-scented, dab a little lavender water behind each ear and just moisten the comb with the same perfume beforei using it. Both your hair and the atmosphere of your rooms will become fragrant if you put a sprig of dried lavender in .an incense-burner or saucer, and set a light to it. Nicotine-browned finger-tips are distinctly unattractive. Plunge them into half a cut lemon for two .or three minutes, and tho stains will soon vanish/ leaving the skin beautifully white. Or you can use peroxide of', hydrogen if you prefer.
