DEATH OF A CYCLIST.

A SINGULAR ACCIDENT.

TWO HANDLE BARS TOUCH.

How a motor-cyclist lost his life through being thrown off his balance when his machine touched another in passing was revealed at the inquest yesterday into the death of Joseph Pascoe, aged 33, slaughterman, who died as the result of head injuries which caused a fracture of the skull with laceration and hemorrhage of the brain on February 9. "1 was riding my motor-cycle in Dominion Road, between the terminus and Mount Albert Road," said Jack H. Jenkin, builder's apprentice, of Violet Street, Mount Albert. "As deceased, passed me the handle bar of his cycle touched the handle of mine. I then pulled into the side of the road and saw the other cyclist lying on the road." Remarking on the strangeness of the mishap. Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M., coroner, returned a verdict of accidental death.
