PROPOSED ALPINE PARK.
GRESLEY LUKIN MEMORIAL.
[bt telegraph.--press association. 3 WELLINGTON. Tuesday. The memory of the late Mr. Gresley Lukin, of Wellington, is to be perpetuated in a somewhat unusual way. After Mr. Lukin's death many of his friends subscribed to a fund for a memorial. The fund amounts "to £l3O, nnd the trustees have requested the Mayor and City ■Council to expend it on an adjunct to ©tare Park (Wilton's Bush), to be called "The Gresley Lukin Alpine Garden," where it is hoped to grow all manner of Alpine plants native to the higher altitudes of New Zealand.
