AUCKLAND STOCK EXCHANGE. QUIET SATURDAY CALL. Little' business was transacted at the one call held by the Auckland Stock Exchange on Saturday. Most issues of Government Inscribed Stock were on the market, but quotations were too wide for business. In banking National of Australasia, contributing, which brought £8 lis earlier in the week, sold at £8 12s, with further buyers at £8 lis. New South Wales were offered at £4B 2s 6d. In shipping Huddart-Parkers wero wanted at £2 10s. In miscellaneous British Tobiccos were quoted at 39s 9d. and 39s 3d. Colonial Sugars were to be had at £56, buyers £54 15s. In mining 29s was offered for Mount Lyells, but holders were not quoting. The following sale took place:—National Bank of Australasia, contributing, £8 12s.

Poultry was in heavy supply. Light hens, Is 3d to Is 7d heavier hens, 2s to 2s 6d; and ducks, Is lid to 4a 9d. Vegetables were in fair supply, and sold to a keen demand. Beans and peas realised 4d per lb.; marrows, 6s ot 9s per dozen; cucumbers, 3s to Gs per dozen; tomatoes, 2d to 3d per lb.; and potatoes. 5s 6d a sugar bag. Rhubarb sold at 3s to 4s per dozen bundles.
