"TWELVE MILES AN HOUR."
Sir, —"Luther" draws comparison to horse-drawn vehicles and tramcars. The first might easily be dismissed, as they are practically a thing of tho past. As io tramcars —many of them travel faster than many motor-cars do, and for "Luther's" information may I say I timed a tramcar that overtook me on the Remuera Road last Sunday afternoon, and the speed registered 30 miles per hour Therefore I think his reasoning falls flat. Possibly, like many others, he is unable to judge speed, which is extremely deceptive. H. T. Davis. Crescent Road, January 27, 1923.
