SIR MAUI POMARE.
RETURN FROM THE ISLANDS. Sir Maui Poniare, Minister for the Cook Islands and acting-Minister of Internal Affairs, who has been attending a.conference in Suva regarding means of improving the equipment of the Makogai leper station, returned to Auckland hv the Aorangi last evening. He was accompanied by Mr. S. J. Smith, of ths Minister's department. Sir Maui Poniare will probably leave for Wellington this evening.
