Skinner, lecturer on anthropology at the Otago University, returned bv the Aorangi last evening after several months' study in England and the United States. Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Morris, the well-known British motor-car manufacturer, arrived at Auckland from Vancouver by the Aorangi last evening. He will make a motor tour of the Dominion. The Rev. Dr. Nevin, principal of St. Patrick's College, Manly, Sydney, who has been on a holiday visit to Europe and America, is a through passenger by the Aorangi to Sydney. He is accora- , panied by Mrs. Bain. He will remain :n New Zealand until Friday, leaving Wellington for his headquarters in Sydney. Dr. C. A. Bacon and Mrs. Bacon, of Chicago, arrived by the Aorangi from Vancouver last evening to spend z. fortnight in New Zealand. Dr. Bacon will visit the leading hospitals of the Dominion, and as an enthusiastic amateur cinematograph photographer will make a film record of the scenic features of New Zealand. Mr. H., Heinz, of Pittsburgh, a prominent business man and a member of the board of directors 'jf the Pennsylvania Railway Company, one of the largest railway companies, in the United States, arrived by the Aorangi from Vancouver last evening He will take a soecial interest in the New Zealand railway systenj. Accompanied by Mr. Rox Finn, he will spend a month in the Dominion. They are at the Grand Hotel.
