A TREASURE HUNT.
NOVEL ENTERTAINMENT. A treasure hunt, followed by a dance, provided a novel form of entertainment for the merrymakers who were the guests of Mrs. Noel Adams on New Year's Eve. They assembled at the Hotel Cargen, and after finding the first clue started off by cars to various parts of the city in their quest for clues-to the hidden treasure, which was ultimately found in the garden of Mrs. W. B. Lloyd,Otahuhu. The lucky winners were Miss Rfi.iherford, Miss Lloyd, Mr. de Chair, Mr. V. Wheeler and Commander O'Callaghan, who were rewarded in finding the silk stockings and cigarettes. Following the hunt, a most enjoyable dance was held at the residence of Mrs. Lloyd, where the rooms were gaJy decorated with flags and Chinese lanterns Masses of lovely flowers in vivid scarlet were arranged in huge and the supper-table in tli© dining room was also gaily decked with 6carlet flowers. Mrs. Adams received her guests wearing a black silk-fringed frock. Mrs. Lloyd wore a frock of delphinium blue georgette and silver.
