Liza Lehmann's famous song-cycle, "In a Persian Garden." embracing many of the cryptic verses of Omar Khayyam, will be rendered by the Waiata Quartette at IYA this evening. Two sketches "Stung" and "The Stranger," will be featured on the second half of this evening's programme from IYA. The performers will be Miss Edna Smeaton, Mr. Frank Adeane and Mi'. Jim Sharp. A full description of the day's racing will be relayed from the Ellerslie grandstand to-day, starting at noon. TO-MORROW'S FEATURES. Special features of programmes to be sent out from the Auckland station tomorrow are as follows: — Auckland, IYA (333 metres).—7.ls p.m., talk on "Concrete and Its Uses, by Mr. F. E.
