QUESTION OF ALLOWANCES. A. and N.Z. MELBOURNE, Dec. 31. There is a possibility that some of the Australian cricketers selected to tour New Zealand will not be able to make the trip owing to the fact that the allowances are very small. Players aro to be recouped for all travelling expenses and will be allowed 10s a day by the New Zealand cricket authorities, while a further 5s a day will be contributed by the Board of Control. Thu3 the players will receive 15s a day for incidentals and nothing fox loss of time. In the case of several players this is a matter of considerable moment, and some players are considering whether they can afford to make the trip. .It is suggested some effort should be made to secure a revision of the terms, but the secretary to the Board of Control says that as far as the board is concerned, tho terms are final*
