WEDDINGS.

The marriage was solemnised on Wednesday at the Mount Albert Methodist Church of Miss Edith Ashcroft, elder daughter of the Rev. and Mrs. A. Ashcroft, of Mount Albert, to Mr. Horace Woodhouse, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Woodhouse, of Smethwick, Staffordshire,; England. The Rev. A. Ashcroft performed the ceremony. The bride, who entered the church on the arm ,of her uncle, Mr. Robert Sage, of Hawera, wore a deep cream embroidered tulle veil, caught" at each side with a tiny cluster of orange blossom, and a georgette frock of the same shade, fashioned with fitted bodice and bouffant petalled skirt'. She carried a sheaf of pale golden roses. Miss Inez Ashcroft, who attended as bridesmaid, wore palest pink crepe tie chine with ecru lace and carried a bouquet of carnations. Mr. Ralph Sage, of Rawer a, acted as best man. The marriage of Miss Gertrude Hill, of Auckland, to Mr. Walter Kearsley, of Wellington, was celebrated in St. Aidan's Church, Remuera, yesterday _af ternoon. The Rev. H. A. Coleman officiated. The bride, who was given away by Air. W. Shaw, wore an attractive frock of deep wineber'ry crepe de chine. A line of fine embroidery on the skirt surmounted a deep, uneven hem of fur, and heir small wine-shaded crinoline hat was trimmed with flowers to tone. She carried a posy of mauve and wine-coloured Sweet peas. Miss Molly Hoban acted as bridesmaid, wearing a frock of pale amethyst taffeta with a gathered skirt and narrow ribbons suspended from the shoulder to the waist. Her mauve crinoline straw hat was trimmed with velvet ribbon to tone, and she carried a small posy of pastel-coloured flowers. Mr. Terry Shaw carried out the duties of best man.

A pretty wedding took place at St. Thomas' Church on Tuesday, December 20, when Miss Frances Eunice Llovd, third daughter of the late Captain F. T. Lloyd, was married to Mr. Chas. Tipper, of Wellington, formerly of London and South Africa. The Rev. Drummond officiated. The bride, who was given away by her brother-in-law, Mr. D. Macdonald, wore a frock of beige georgette over lotus-rose crepe, with panelfl of Chantilly lace She wore a widebrimmed hat of rose du Barry crinoline straw, and carried a beautiful bouquet of carnations and gladioli. Miss Eunice Macdonald, aiece of the bride, acted as bridesmaid, wearing a frock of rose crepe de chine, panelled with cream lace. Her black crinoline hat was trimmed with rose-coloured velvet, and her bouquet was of roses and carnations. Mr. Barpey Wheatley acted as best man. A pretty wedding was solemnised by the Rev. Coleman at St. Aidan's Church, Remuera, on Saturday afternoon, when Phoebe Margaret, second daughter of the late P. Moloughney, Northern Wairoa. and Mrs. Moloughney, Remuera, was married to Percival George Sills, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. H. Sills, Militai Street. Wairoa. The bride, who was given away by her brother, W. J. Moloughney, wore an embossed chenille satin de beaute frock draped and caught at the side with a brilliant ornament land posy of orange blossoms. A beautifully embroided Brussells net veil formed the train, winch was held in place' by a cHaplet of orange blo»soms« She carried a bouquet Of Christmas lilies, roses and carnations with long streamers, of narrow satin ribbons. 'Mrs. J. C. Ambury, sister of the bride, was matron of honour in a gown of beige crepe de chine and lace with hat to Cone. The shower bouquet was of sweet peas, pansies and delphiniums, with tulle streamers. Mr. H. J. Sills, brother of the bridegroom, was best man. The marriage took place at St. -Andrew's Church, Epsom, last evening of Miss Doris Wallace, only daughter of Mr. T. A. Wallace, of Glenalmond Road, Mount Eden, to Mr. Tudor Hilton Bird, voungest son of Mrs. and the late Mr. G. Hilton Bird, of West Somerton, Norfolk, England. The Rev. F. P. De L. Willis officiated. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a frock of white georgette and Renaissance lace, with panels of fringe and tiny georgette frills. Her lace veil formed a train, which was held in position with large pearl and silver tassels, and the veil was caught round tho head with silver roses. She carried a bouquet of real orange blossom. Miss Jessie Montgomery and Miss Flora Mackenzie acted as bridesmaids, wearing Early Victorian frocks of pink georgette and taffeta, trimmed at tho back with large bows of taffeta and cascades of georgette embroidered , with pink and blue daisies. They wore ribbon Juliette caps, finished with pink coses, and carried Early Victorian posies. Mr. M. J. Moore attended tho bridegroom as best man and Mr. L. S. Montgomery was groomsman. .>

St. Mark's Church, Remuera, was the scene of a prettyf wedding on Wednesday, December 21, when Miss Florence Amy North, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. J. North, of Whenuapai, Upper Harbour, was married to Mr. Leonard Walter Sinton, fourth son of Mr. and Mrs. Alec R. Sinton, of Hobsonville, Upper Harbour. The Rev. G. C. Gruicksbank officiated. The bride, who entered the church on the arm of her father, wore a frock of ivory duchesse mousseiine, with a vest and long tight sleeves of silver lace. Her long satin train was lined with palest blue silk and was fastened at the shoulders with dainty sprays of orange blossom. She wore an embroidered veil, held in place with a wreath of orange blossom, and carried a beautiful shower bouquet of Christmas lilies and white carnations. Miss Doris Battersliill, cousin of the bride, attended as bridesmaid, wearing a frock of amber floral marocain, with hat to tone. She carried a bouquet of autumn-tinted flowers. Miss Loloma Pollard and Miss Patricia Pollard acted as flower girls, wearing dainty little frocks of green and mauve crepe de chine, respectively. They carried baskets of purple sweet peas, and maidenhair fern. Mr. Wallace Sinton, brother of the bridegroom, acted as best man.
