FISHING ACCIDENT.

MAN SECURELY HOOKED. A painful and unusual fishing accident befel a well-known resident at Bombala, New South Wales, Mr. Thomas Ingram, last week, at the Craigie River, 20 miles from Bombala. Mr. Ingram, with several companions, was fishing, when one of the men attempted to make cast with a spinner, to which were attached three hooks. Mr. Ingram was 15ft. distant, and an error in casting caused the spinner to enter his lip, two of the hooks being firmly embedded in the flesh. All attempts by the party to extricate ithe hooks failed, and the injured man was conveyed to Bombala, only to find that the doctor was away. The hooks were removed when the doctor returned later in the evening.
