MESSAGE FROM THE POPE.

The Roman Catholic Archbishop of Brisbane, Dr. Duhig, who arrived in Sydney last week, en route for Brisbane, after a tour abroad, brought with him a message from the Pope concerning next year's Eueharistic Congress at Sydney. The Pope expressed deep interest-in the congress, and he hoped that it would produce much spiritual good. The Pope assured Dr. Duhig that he was praying for its success. He renewed the apostolic benediction for the workers in tha congress. With the Papal Legate and suite will come a great number of leading Roman Catholic laity of Italy and France. Dr. Curran, of the Irish College, Rome, has been released from professorial duties to accompany them and to act in an executive capacity in looking after their welfare in Australia.
