MEDICAL REPORT ON VICTIM. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. (Received December 28, 5.5 p.m.) A, and N.Z.-Sun. LOS ANGELES, Deo. 27. The youth Edward Hickman, who was arrested in connection with the murder of the girl Marion Parker, has been safely lodged in the prison at Los Angeles, in spite of widespread fears of mob violence. Public anger has again been roused to fever pitch by the .publication of m-tails of his confession of the murder. Hickman now appears to be on the verge of a collapse. A warder discovered him attempting to hide a spoon in his clothing during his evening meal. It is believed he intended to use it in an attempt at suicide. Hickman's confession states that when he kidnapped the girl he had no intention of killing her, but he remembered that she knew him and he decided to do away with her. The medical examiner has reported that Marion Parker died from heart failure, not strangulation. Hickman will be defended by a young solicitor from Kansas City. The case will take precedence cf the others on the file and is expected to f>e concluded speedily.
