THEATRE QUEUES.
(Sir,—l think the custom which! has arisen in connection with the above is absolutely wrong. Under the present method any person who likes to put a benzine box in Durham Street with a name on it, at, say, 8 a.m., cai go away and Jeaveit all dav, then obtain that position in the queue in the evening. The astonishing thing is that the public tolerate the present arrangement. I would suggest that the seats in the family circle, being already numbered, a booking fee of sixpence should be charged for the early doors. I feel confident patrons ot the family circle ■ would gladly pay this fee and elemmate the benzine box scramble and the annoyance of seeing persons turn up shortly before the doors, open and take prior place to them in the queue.
