AMERICAN MIGRATION.
FIGURES FOR THE YEAR. INCREASED ALIEN ENTRY. A. and N.Z. WASHINGTON, Nov. 28. The Secretary for Labour, Mr. J. J. Davis, in a report, says the United States admitted 538,001 aliens in the fiscal year ended June 30, which was an increase of 41,895 over the figure for the previous year. During the year 253.508 aliens had left the country, of whom 180,142 had declared their intention of returning. Three-fourths of all the immigrants who entered the United States were between 18 and 44 years of age.
